Roanoke County Students Advance to State FBLA Competition
Thirty-one students from various Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapters at high schools across Roanoke County participated in the Virginia Western Community College Region competition, which took place from January 24th to March 6th. The competition results were revealed at the Virginia Western Community College Regional Spring Leadership Conference on March 6th. The following students placed in the competition:

First and second place winners advance to State Competition on April 17-18 in Reston, Virginia.
FBLA competition events include written, chapter, computer, and performance events. Computer events took place on February 17th and skill events took place on Friday, January 30th. Performance events took place at the Virginia Western Community College Regional Spring Conference on March 6th.
FBLA is the largest business career student organization in the world. It is a co-curricular organization in which business students have leadership opportunities, gain experience in community service, compete in business-related events, and learn about career opportunities.
