WBHS AFJROTC Holds Christmas Drive For Those Serving Overseas
The William Byrd High School Air Force Jr. ROTC (AFJROTC) is putting together a Christmas drive for our men and women serving our country overseas.
“While we understand times are tight, anything the community can give will be greatly appreciated,” said AFJROTC Major Jeff Pruitt (ret.).
Donations can be dropped off at the William Byrd High School auditorium by December 5. The following is a list of the most requested items from our soldiers:
- Beef jerky
- Q- tips
- Travel size shampoo
- Shaving cream
- Soap
- Individual size foods such as cookies, crackers, chips, pretzels, etc
- Letters from kids
- Disposable cameras
- Calling cards
- Disposable shower shoes
- Mouthwash
- Deodorant
- Tooth picks
- Hard candy (nothing that will melt)
- Books or DVDs
- Postage stamps
- Stationary envelopes
- Toothbrushes
- Tooth paste
- White socks, sizes 9 and up
- Drink mixes like Crystal Light
- Puzzles
